“Peace Objects”
Gibbes Museum of Art
135 Meeting Street, Charleston, South Carolina
February 16th - March 31st, 2024
“Using space and movement as materials, Peace Objects explores the balance of motion and stillness, something-ness and nothing-ness, striving and contentment. Because they are intentionally non-representational, the sculptures give the eyes and mind a place to rest.
Driven by a conviction to live much more simply, through these works, I’m exploring the concept that peace is a more worthy pursuit than happiness, and what isn’t there may be as important as what is. ”
